陆老师 Ms Yang LU (Co Founder and Head of the School)

南京师范大学本科毕业，来到英国深造，1998年获得注册管理会计证书，在各大公司任会计近二十年。在社区中文学校、私立中小学、课后中文班教授中文多年，年复一年带领学生冲刺GCSE和A Level考试，取得优异成绩，指导学生在校外朗诵比赛中连续五年获一等奖和二等奖。2011年，荣获英国中文教育促进会的‘优秀教师’称号。2014年完成学习并获得伦敦大学Goldsmith学院授予的‘中文教学证书’。 主持与团队一起完成了英国第一个华人社团和政府图书馆合作的项目：儿童中文图书馆， 于2017年初在Woking Library开幕。

Soon after completing the bachelor’s degree in Language and Literature in Nanjing Teachers’ University, China, Yang came to Britain and qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 1998.  Yang’s career as an accountant spanned nearly 20 years in commerce and industry and the insurance sector in the Lloyd’s of London.  Yang taught Mandarin in the local community school, local independent schools, and afterschool Mandarin clubs. She led students to achieve excellent results in GCSE & A level exams and won First and Second Prizes consecutively for five years in external Reading and Recital Competitions.  Yang received the ‘Excellent Teacher Award’ from UKAPCE in 2011.  Yang completed the course and was awarded the ‘Certificate of Teaching Chinese’ from Goldsmith College, University of London in November 2014.  Yang led a successful project, the collaboration between CAW and Surrey Libraries, to create UK’s very first special collection of Children’s Chinese Library in Woking Library, launched in January 2017.

纪老师 Dr Joy JI (Co Founder and Deputy Head)

从天津大学毕业后在北京科技大学担任讲师。  1997来到英国深造获得博士学位。在社区中文学校担任GCSE 和A level 班的教学，同时也在不同学校的中文俱乐部和1对1上课。学生年龄从5岁到成人。不仅所有的学生都取得了优秀的考试成绩， 最令人高兴的是一些学生继续学校中文的热情。2017年获得英国教育促进会的优秀教师称号。

Joy was a University lecturer at Beijing Science and Technology University. She came to the UK in 1997 to pursue her PhD degree.  Joy has taught Mandarin in a community school, in local state and independent school for many years and gained extensive experience. Joy’s students are aged from 5 years old to adults with different language backgrounds. All students go on to achieve excellent exam results. Joy is particularly delighted to see some of them willing to take Mandarin learning further.  Joy received ‘Excellent Teacher’s Award’ from UKAPCE in 2017.

        徐老师 Ms Ally XU (Playgroup Teacher)

 

从北京工商大学本科毕业后，在中国国家体育委员会工作。来英后一直从事华文教育。从事过CACH（父母是英国人，领养的中国小孩群体）启蒙语言教育。创办过非母语背景的中文俱乐部。曾在社区中文学校和中文俱乐部教学，学生年龄不同，跨度大，学生参加OCR Asset Language考试，全部是A/A*。热爱中文幼儿教学，以寓教于乐的教育模式，每个课程围绕一个主题，进行语言学习，配合主题，制作手工物件，贯穿生动有趣的故事，儿歌与游戏，让孩子在其中收获到快乐，进入中文的语言和文化世界。2019年，荣获英国中文教育促进会的‘优秀教师’称号。

Ally graduated from Beijing Technology and Business University and worked for the General Administration of Sport of China. After coming to the UK, Ally started to teach Mandarin to children adopted from China (CACH) and also set up a local Mandarin club. Ally taught Mandarin in a community school and local Mandarin clubs. Her students are of a wide range of ages.  Ally’s students achieved excellent OCR Asset Language exam results of A/A*. Ally has extensive teaching experience , specially to very young children. With hands-onactivities , games, rhymes, stories, Ally engages the children and introduces them to the world of Chinese language and culture.  Ally received the ‘Excellent Teacher Award’ from UKAPCE in 2019.

万老师 Ms Jun WAN (Class Teacher)

从淮北师范大学英语教育专业毕业后， 在培训机构以及私立高中从事英文教育多年，学生年龄从三岁到成人。来英国后从事过少儿、成人以及A level中文教学。2023年，荣获英国中文教育促进会的‘优秀教师’称号。目前在公立小学工作。请点击这里观看万老师加入我们团队后的教学感言。

Jun Wan graduated from HuaiBei Teachers’ University, majoring in English education. She has extensive experience of teaching English as a foreign language.  After coming to England, Jun has experience of teaching Chinese across all age groups. She received ‘Excellent Teacher Award’ from UKAPCE in 2023. Jun currently works in a local infant school supporting young children with their literacy skills.

吕老师 Mrs Kitty HARVEY (Class Teacher)

2001年毕业于辽宁师范大学生物教育专业后继续攻读分子生物学硕士学位，自2006年起一直在英国从事科研工作。Kitty于2022年完成培训后正式加入天地中文学校，她注重有趣并有效的中文教学，课堂上融入音乐、舞蹈、烹饪、手工，故事等，设计有趣的游戏激发学生的兴趣和保持学生的高参与度，对于不同能力的学生会设计不同难度的练习，让学生有成就感的同时得到适度的挑战。请点击这里观看Kitty老师加入我们团队后的教学感言。
 
Kitty graduated from Liaoning Teachers’ University in 2001 majoring in Biological Education, followed by a master’s degree in Molecular Biology. She has been working on scientific research in the UK since 2006.

Kitty officially joined Horizon Mandarin School in 2022 after completing the training. She emphasizes on fun and effective Chinese teaching, integrating music, dance, cooking, crafts, stories, and more into her classes. She designs engaging games to stimulate students’ interest and maintain high student participation. For students with different abilities, she tailors exercises of varying difficulty, so that students can have a sense of accomplishment and get a moderate challenge.

王老师 Dr Maggie WANG (Class Teacher)

2005年本科毕业于西安交通大学，08年在英国Cranfield University获得应用数学与计算机硕士学位，09年赴荷兰 Wageningen University &Research 攻读博士学位，主攻基本图论和概率论的机器学习算法研究。2014年学成返英后，先后在剑桥大学和伦敦玛丽王后大学从事生物信息方向的科研工作，近年来主要为NHS做临床数据分析。2024年初加入天地中文学校，加入的契机主要有两点：一，深受小女儿在这里逾两年愉快且卓有成效的学习体验的鼓舞；二，感动于这里教师团队精诚所至、使命必达的服务精神。
 
Maggie received her Bachelor of Engineering degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2005, her MSc by Research degree on Applied Mathematics and Computing from Cranfield University (UK) in 2008, her PhD degree on probabilistic graphical models for stochastic processes and Bayesian inference from Wageningen University & Research (NL) in 2013. Since then, she has been working as an academic researcher in Cambridge University and Queen Mary University of London. She is now mainly involved in data analysis projects funded by NHS. Maggie has been with our team since early 2024. She is motivated by two things: first, she is deeply inspired by her little daughter’s pleasant and fruitful learning experience here for more than two years; second, she is moved by the service spirit of the teaching team here who are dedicated and determined to accomplish their mission.

高老师 Ms Lin GAO (Class Teacher)

 
毕业于南开大学的国际贸易专业, 2003年在伦敦城市大学获得了航运, 贸易与金融的硕士学位，之后在伦敦从事了十多年的航运和贸易相关工作。高老师曾在伦敦一所中文学校教授中文，同时与俱乐部David Lloyd 的儿童团队一起工作过。高老师专注于鼓励学生学习中文、了解中国文化，尊重孩子个性化的需求和学习方式。

Gao Laoshi graduated with BA in International Trade at Nankai University in Tianjin, followed by the Master's degree in Shipping, Trade and Finance at the City University in London in 2003. Gao Laoshi worked in the City for more than ten years. She has taught Mandarin in a Chinese language school in London and worked in the children’s team in David Lloyd Club. Gao Laoshi is passionate about encouraging students to learn Mandarin and understand the culture. She is keen to use personalised approach to support their learning.

劉老师 Ms Su-yu LIU (Class Teacher)

劉老师毕业于台湾東吳大學企管系， 于2005 年在台湾师范大学进修对外汉语教学课程，在2007年获得台湾对外汉语教学师资认证。劉老师自2006年開始教外籍人士中文至今， 有丰富的教学经验。学生程度從零起點到A level，年纪自4岁到70岁。
 
Ms. Liu obtained her degree from the Department of Enterprise at Soochow University in Taiwan and took the Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language course at National Taiwan Normal University in 2005.  In 2007  She obtained the Taiwan Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language Teacher Certification. Ms Liu has been teaching Chinese to foreigners since 2006 and gains extensive experience. Students’ levels range from zero to A Level, and their ages range from 4 to 70 years old.
